API Reference
Detailed information on our extensive set of APIs along with code samples to help developers get started
Overview
DTCC Digital Assets software products provide application programming interfaces (APIs) to integrate their functionality with third-party applications. These products might be hosted by DTCC Digital Assets itself (as a SaaS offering) or by a customer as part of your application.
APIs are exposed as RESTful URI interfaces, a lightweight, standards-based, and high-performance protocol that is common for SaaS applications and is typically well understood by developers.
This documentation portal provides documentation on the APIs available and how to use them. It also allows API subscriptions to be purchased in order to use them. DTCC Digital Assets APIs are categorized according to their broad functionality, with offerings for managing price discovery of assets or for generating analytics reports.
Subscriptions to use APIs are obtained by purchasing API Products, each of which covers one or more API Endpoints and aligns them with a Rate Plan. Rate Plans provide pricing for licenses to use the API Endpoints according to specific models, such as unlimited use, N usage calls per hour, etc. An API Product can be associated with multiple Rate Plans to accommodate variable pricing based on a usage model.
DTCC Digital Assets hosted offering includes Apigee, an API management and monetization service. Apigee keeps track of API usage by third-party applications and in conjunction with Rate Plans, determines the cost to the user of leveraging the APIs.
